BLUE SKY GROUP AMSTELVEEN
Previously, we installed indirect lighting on the third floor of the Blue Sky Group. Now, it was the fourth floor’s turn. This involved a complete renovation: transitioning from TL to LED. In close collaboration with Trovium, we designed the lighting plan, supplied the luminaires, and carried out the installation. All pendant luminaires are equipped with smart sensors. The traffic areas feature downlights with smart sensors, while the lounge areas and meeting rooms are equipped with spotlights and smart sensors.
Smart Sensors
This project was completed in January 2020, and nearly a year later, in December 2020, we analyzed the sensor data. Due to the increase in remote working, an energy savings of 95% was achieved. Since there were always a few people present on each floor during the COVID-19 measures, this savings can largely be attributed to the smart sensors. Light is only present where and when it is needed.
On floors without smart sensors, the lights for the entire floor turn on as soon as the first employee arrives and only turn off when security switches them off in the evening. The switch from TL to LED accounts for approximately 60% of the energy savings, with the remaining savings credited to the sensors. The additional investment in smart sensors was therefore recouped well within a year.
