SPECIAL L2, L9, L10 APPLICATIONS FOR CHIYODA
Interior architects Bert Klaaysen from Avenir Projects and Rolf Warda from Warda Design in Cologne collaborated on this beautiful project in Genk, Belgium.
From his initial design, Bert involved us in the lighting plan for this project. Due to the use of the HunterDouglas Heartfelt ceiling, recessed fixtures were not an option. For the ceiling light lines, we developed a custom solution where random light lines of 116 cm and 56 cm in length were placed between the felt HunterDouglas slats. Additionally, we utilized various L2 pendant luminaires and custom LED spotlights on a track system with extra-long mounting feet.
The L10 was applied horizontally this time to illuminate the presentation wall in a unique way. Using the Fresnel principle, the L10 provides broadly diffused light. Special attention was given to the light color and color rendering to ensure Chiyoda’s products are showcased at their best. Additionally, the L9 was used in various coves and niches.
All lighting is DALI-enabled and controlled via a central control unit. There are two wall control panels at the showroom entrance, sensors for the offices, and an iPad control system for additional functionalities.
